Jesus, You are led to Your death;
O gentle Lamb, sought after by the Jews.
Jesus, my beloved.Jesus, for thirty pieces of silver
You were sold by unworthy Judas.
Jesus, my beloved.Jesus, heavy laden in Your grief,
by the vision of death troubled so sorely.
Jesus, my beloved.Jesus, in the garden kneeling,
faith You are drenched with Your sweat of blood.
Jesus, my beloved.Jesus, with a kiss You were betrayed
by a treacherous disciple.
Jesus, my beloved.Jesus, You are bound in great pain
with thick ropes by sneering soldiers.
Jesus, my beloved.Jesus, mocked by mobs relentlessly
in the court of Annas, high court of the land.
Jesus, my beloved.Jesus, dragged on the way to Caiaphas,
pulled by the hair and shoved so savagely.
Jesus, my beloved.Jesus, by the wicked Malchus
struck on the cheek with a gauntlet or armor.
Jesus, my beloved.Jesus, by two false witnesses,
You were accused as a criminal unjustly.
Jesus, my beloved.We hail You, Jesus!
All honor to You:
For man degraded,
humniliated.
To You all glory,
praises and honor,
Lord God everlasting.
