I got Picard as well. Great actor and character.
[anorak] What would be cooler than Picard is Picard in the Maquis (the libertarians of this fantasy), not the Federation (statist totalitarians = America in the 1960s to today).
Now that I’m grown up I don’t like the ‘Star Trek’ heroes’ government any more than the Klingons or the Romulans, though the Romulans are culturally interesting (the samurai side of the Vulcans, who IMO are really Japanese, and Buddhist at that). [/anorak]
